This one was especially difficult, because I imposed upon it a somewhat strict framework of guidelines. Only Polaroid, Impossible Project, or Polaroid Originals film could be used. In “outrageous color,” I suggested a complicated theme that could be defined in any way one wished it to be defined, and it, for the second time now, may have changed futures. Maybe most significantly, I indicated an intention to follow a strict curation, so that out of forty or so submissions I might choose only two to be featured. Or maybe it was more significant that this time I chose to offer a prize to be given to one winner.
It came down to four....
Kay Adams (www.instagram.com/wasted_films)
Karin Claus (www.instagram.com/karinclaus)
Jocelyn Mathewes (www.instagram.com/jocelynmathewes)
Amanda Pendlebury (www.instagram.com/amanda_pendlebury)
And the winner was very difficult to choose.
Jocelyn Mathewes, congratulations. I’ll contact you directly regarding your prize, but of course, feel free to contact me if you’d prefer it.
My thanks to everyone that submitted (please continue to submit), my thanks especially to those that were clearly engaged in the process, and my thanks to everyone at the Film Shooter’s Collective.
SUBMIT
Every week the FSC features an article with a Curated Photostream that is open to all. You may only submit one (1) photo and it *must* be a jpeg file and no larger than 20 MB. Please title the file "Title_Camera_Film_YourName.jpg" so that we may properly credit you if your photo is selected. Remember to check our Submit page to see all currently open photostreams.
My next curation will be July, so keep an eye on our Submit page for information about my next piece and the June Polaroid Roundup.
Next week will be curated by Ruby Berry and the theme is Black and White. You may submit your image here.
