This month’s theme was ‘Simplicity’. Simplicity seems almost foreign in today’s world, everything moves so quickly and every waking moment we’re bombarded with a constant stream of information and entertainment. Complexity abounds and simplicity is in short supply. Jamie Burns’ photo of the woman sitting on the bench petting her dog captured the theme exceptionally well; the whole world appears to have slowed down as she stops to appreciate the flowers blooming on the tree and the company of her dog. I hope these photos will slow you down for a few moments to appreciate the simple things in life.
