CURATED PHOTOS | JULY 25, 2016 | RUBY FALLS

We are all in this together.

This week's photostream had my favorite theme - No Theme.  As usual, there were so many beautiful submissions.  And, as usual, a clear connective thread became apparent almost immediately.  I have written before about why I love the theme-less weeks so much, how they are both informed and guided by my feelings and what is going on in the world around us.

This week, as soon as I opened the submission folder, I knew what the connective thread would be:  Us.

So many ugly and terrifying and confusing things are going on in the world, but we will keep going.  We will always keep going.  Why?  Because, I believe, on some level we understand that we are ALL connected.  That we all matter.  That we are all alive and deserving of life.  That we are all in this together.

Every single one of us has a story to tell.  These photos capture both the life and the story.  Each photo reminded me of how important it is to see the PERSON and not the problem; the connection and not the conflict.  To see how important each of us are and remind us that we are all connected.  And that if we can hold on to that, together we can conquer anything.

Next week's photostream will be curated by Marc Nagainis and the theme is "Straight Out Of Camera."  You may submit your unedited photo here.
