Balance.

After the last couple of weeks, I am thinking a lot about balance, specifically in an emotional, almost visceral sense. The forceful calm that overrides panic in an emergency situation. The way general happiness feels like euphoria after an intense migraine. That weird, prickly rush you get when you are beyond exhaustion.

So my selections for this week's photostream were selected with these thoughts and feelings echoing through my mind. I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could make cohesive pairs of all my selections. I wanted to find some sense of order in the chaos.

These are anxious times. These are peaceful moments. Most of us are always seeking one and trying to quell the other. The first can lead to the latter, and vice-versa. In our inner lives, our everyday mundane moments, and across the globe as whole, I feel these two are ever at odds, or maybe just continually balancing each other. I’d like to see images that speak to one or the other, or both, from everyone this week in whatever manner that could mean for you. Even if it’s a bit of helpful anxiety you feel to submit and image, and the peace you’re rewarded with after, that’s perfect.
