Seeing, for me, is an active endeavor, and looking through a viewfinder serves to heighten the experience. I am moved by color, geometry, juxtaposition, harmony, humor, and the melancholy, ephemeral beauty of everyday life. I believe there’s a picture in almost everything if you find a fresh perspective.
The challenge of framing my wonder at our 3-d world inside a 2-d rectangle never grows old, and the magic that plays out when light and film combine to manifest the momentary as a physical artifact is fresh alchemy every single time.
