The choice of theme was rather trivial at first. It's my birthday month, so I didn't think too hard about it when asked to do this week's curated photostream.
However, there's a bit more to the word than what we usually take from it. We're expressive by nature. In one way or another we are constantly trying to show others how we feel, screaming to the wind or quietly praying to the skies; quietly listening to music or dancing for no apparent reason; having a drink by yourself or enjoying a whole afternoon with your family. It doesn't matter if you do it by yourself or share it with the ones you love, a celebration is an expression of your individual yearnings and regrets. An expression of who you really and truly are.
Mark Nagainis will be curating next week and the theme is "Still life." Please show your interpretation of a classic "Still Life" image. Set something up on the table... Let the fruit ripen... Gather your fall flowers into a bouquet... Submit your photos here
