CURATED PHOTOS | MAY 29, 2017 | FRANK LASSAK

A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. (Wikipedia: definition of portrait)

Although one might argue about this definition, I think it is a quite suitable, and most pictures submitted for this week's curated photo stream have met the above mentioned criteria. Hence, the selection was not an easy one. Thank you all for sending in your great works. These are my favorites.

SUBMIT

Every week the FSC features a Curated Photostream that is open to all.  You may only submit one (1) photo and it *must* be a jpeg file and no larger than 20 MB. Please title the file "Title_Camera_Film_YourName.jpg" so that we may properly credit you if your photo is selected.

Next week will be curated by Ruby Berry and there is no theme.  You may submit your here.
