CURATED PHOTOS | APRIL 3, 2017 | RUBY BERRY

Where I live, we are in the process of transitioning from Winter to Spring.  There is an air of both hesitancy and recklessness; of invitation and closed doors.  From a place of liminality, we can see both what we were and what we might become.  There is tension and often a a sense of impudence as we contradict ourself and try something new.  Some rush through that threshold, while others remain, caught in the in-between.

For me, these photographs capture the idea of transition -- from the first idea of becoming something else, through the conflict of transition, and on to the next stage of being.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I have and that you are successful in any transition you are contemplating at this moment. Accept the invitations.  Make peace with the closed doors. Resolve the conflict.  Become something new.
