Pentax IQzoom 120mi | Camera Review | Herb Kateley

Pentax IQzoom 120mi | Camera Review | Herb Kateley

There are quite a few cameras in the Pentax Iqzoom line, but this one stood out for me when I found one. It has a fairly compact footprint and shows high quality in manufacture. It is aluminum cased and although a little thick, it will fit in larger shirt pocket. I ran a 1st roll through mine before finding a manual and specs for it, so I was quite pleased when I got what I considered exceptional results for a compact p&s with a zoom.

Collective Inspiration Challenge No. 2: Aliki Smith (Inspired by Frank Lassak)

by Aliki Smith

This series was inspired by the work of Frank Lassak. In approaching this challenge, I have attempted to integrate a few significant things from Frank's work: conceptual, narrative and cinema. In viewing Frank's imagery to prepare, I was influenced by his conceptual makings, narrative approach and cinematic style. I was both excited and nervous about this challenge as I saw it as an opportunity to move outside my comfort zone and to continue pushing some boundaries in my own work. Initially, I felt dazed by the idea "but how will my work be good enough to reflect something of Frank's work?!", but I pushed past these thoughts and created. And in creating, a narrative emerged.
