Nostalgia Edits
by Tanya Gervasi

sometimes I see
- like in a dream -
memories that never were

 I linger
- forgetting myself -
I step inside
the familiar yet unknown

 swinging back and forth
between fragments
of shells and stones

I close my eyes
I'm in a room
I hear the sea and smell the moss
Am I alone? I'm never sure
Could stay forever in this deserted land

yet a siren from afar
rings in my ear
for me to come
back to myself
here I am

I always wonder where I had left.

Beach State Of Mind
by Ryan Spence

When you stand in the sand
And look out to sea
Is it the end of the world that you see?
Is the horizon the distance to reach?
When you dive in and swim from the beach

Or instead of the end
Do your eyes see the start
Of an unknown adventure
That stirs up your heart
One that’s not easy, where grit is required
But one that could give you the life you desire

A life full of purpose
A life that’s fulfilled
Where dread is replaced by incredible zeal
A life where you have everything that you need
A life that once seemed an impossible dream

The choice is all yours
Will you take to the waves?
As the old saying goes, fortune favours the brave
Or will you stay stood, with your feet in the sand
And wonder, “what if, I had taken my chance?”.

The Eternal Shadow Of Karma
Darshak Rana

Standing on the weak stairs of time
My shadow is watching me
As my last rites are going on
As the flames of my pyre rise
My shadow is watching my body burn

My shadow —
Is Smiling…Laughing…Crying with me.

My shadow -
Had always supported me
In my dark days of despair
And In the sunny days of hope
My shadow never left me
Alone.

Now that I had passed away
My shadow still awaits
Hoping for me to return
But I can’t turn back
I can’t relive

I have left the body.
I have left this world
Yet my shadow is still alive

In the hearts of my loved ones
I am still alive in my shadow

I am so glad that my shadow is still alive
Helping everyone
Serving the humanity
Making me proud
Making my lord proud.
The shadow I had cast.
Onto this world
Through my Karma....will never die
It will follow me
It will travel towards me
It will come back to me
I am so happy that when I take a new birth
And when my old shadow hugs me
I will have a beautiful destiny
Already waiting for me.
