CURATED PHOTOSTREAM | MARCH 4, 2019 | RUBY BERRY
For this week, I asked you to send in your images that embody the idea of Courage. Whether as the subject itself, or an image that was, for whatever reason, outside of your comfort zone. Someone battling illness. Something novel and new. Something that you didn’t think you had the temerity to try.
To me, each of these images captures not just something shocking or unusual or subjectively worrisome. They show bravery. I’ve read that bravery isn’t the absence of fear. Rather, it is the courage to do something even though you are afraid.
Thank you all as always for the beautiful images. I look forward to seeing what trickery we can get up to next month. In the meantime, have courage and make art.
SUBMIT
Every week the FSC features an article with a Curated Photostream that is open to all. You may only submit ONE (1) photo and it *must* be a jpeg file and no larger than 20 MB. Please title the file "Title_Camera_Film_YourName.jpg" so that we may properly credit you if your photo is selected. Remember to check our Submit page to see all currently open photostreams.
My next curation is April 1 and the theme is Trickery. Show me your fools, your trompe l'œil, your magic, your jokes. Be the fool or the fooled. You may submit your image here.
Next week will be curated by Marc Nagainis: My next curation will be March 11th. I will be looking for and selecting Alternative Portraits. I’ll be looking for anything from Alternative Processing to Alternative Poses or Subjects and anything in between. Do your worst, show me your best. Submit your image here.
